This conceptual video is a corporate collaborative research project initiated by Bonnier R&D into the experience of reading magazines on handheld digital devices. It illustrates one possible vision for digital magazines in the near future.

While Apple’s iPhone has notably been left out of Adobe’s new initiative with Flash Player 10.1 to bring an integrated Flash experience to browsers on smartphones and other platforms, TechCrunch notes that Adobe has also been using its Adobe MAX 2009 conference to show off capabilities found in the company’s forthcoming Flash Professional CS5 that will allow developers to build Flash-based applications and then export them to the standard .ipa format used for native iPhone applications. The new support for iPhone applications in the Flash Platform tooling will not allow iPhone users to browse web content built with Flash technology on iPhone, but it may allow developers to repackage existing web content as applications for iPhone if they choose to do so.

Flash Player uses a just-in-time compiler and virtual machine within a browser plug-in to play back content on websites. Those technologies are not allowed on the iPhone at this time, so a Flash Player for iPhone is not being made available today. Flash Professional CS5 will enable developers to build applications for iPhone that are installed as native applications. Users will be able to access the apps after downloading them from Apple’s App Store and installing them on iPhone or iPod touch Applications created using Flash Professional CS5 meet all iPhone .ipa and SDK requirements, allowing them to be included in Apple’s App Store via the standard iPhone Developer Program. Adobe has even featured seven current App Store applications that were built using a pre-release version of Flash Professional CS5.

Finally, it’s there. The Dropbox iphone app.
Dropbox is a storage application and service operated by Evenflow, Inc. The service enables users to store and sync files online and between computers. Dropbox has a cross-platform client (Linux for x86 and x86_64, Mac, Windows and now the iPhone) that enables users to drop any file into a Dropbox folder that is then synced to the web and the users’ other computers with the Dropbox client. Files in the Dropbox folder may then be shared with other Dropbox users or accessed from the web. Users may also upload files manually through a web browser.

Dropbox is for me the best way to share and store files in very quick way. It’s fast and easy. If you use you iphone in combination with a me account you get a 2oGb Stores with idisk. I have play with it, but is sucks. Idisk is just to slow to work with. Maybe there will be time, that dropbox can be used with apple’s ical and contacts.

Is already 7 years ago, that the firts ipod come on the marked. I still remember, the first ipod presentation from steve jobs. The vision of apple; change the music industry in combination with the portable media players. We started with a 5GB Ipod and we are already can buy ipod’s around 160GB.

New features where implemented. First photos and after a while video. But is this ready something new ???. To watch video/tv on a portable device. I looked around in history and i found some amazing things.

In May 1963, K.C. Kirkbridge dreams in the magazine Mechanix Illustrated about small TVs, miniature tape recorders and even about electronic computers in the size of a book. What drives all these reveries: the technology of the future of course – space travel. The problem: very limited cargo capacity. In order to be able to carry lots of stuff along, things have to become smaller (and lighter). Therefore, RCA works on the development of the first pocket TV. Unfortunately all details are strictly confidential. Or imaginary … This incredible hand-held miniature television was never produced commercially, but sure was a sign of the things to come in the future!

In the year 1966, an obviously highly motivated engineer at Motorola dares to tackle the pocket TV idea. A few pieces of information come out: 1-1/8 inch screen diagonal, 29 transistors, operated by 4 batteries, energy consumption 1.5 Watt (about half of it to heat the cathode ray tube). Sadly enough the engineer passes away before he could even convince his employer of the market potential of his invention. A nicely illustrated article from the daily paper The Columbus Dispatch describes the background research and possible uses of the apparatus.

But the best part is coming.

Maybe it’s true that Apple have looked in history and found out, that is was the time to redesign a old idea. One things is sure. Apple did there homework well. A device in combination with a the Itunes application, to make the distribution of digitale music & video easier and legal was done to make the iPod a success.

Visueel voicemail kunnen we in Nederland nog wel even vergeten.
Maar om de iphone voicemail button te kunnen gebruiken, is er een hele simple hack.

1. eerste moet je voicemail nummer achterhalen, b.v 00316…………………..
2. ga naar de phone button.
3. klink dan op keypad.
4. toets het volgende nummer in. *5005*86*xxx#. Hier xxx moet het voicemail nummer worden ingevuld.
5. Na het nummer te hebben in getoetst klink op call.
6. De instelling van de voicemail zijn nu gecode onder de viocemail button.

Het is altijd moeilijk om te geloven wat nu waar is. Het hele internet staat vol artikelen waarin positief & negatief wordt gesproken over hacking. Ik was dood zenuwachtig om zo’n mooi apparaat te gaan hacken, maar die spanning geeft ook de kick, want zonder een hack wordt de iphone op dit moment een hele dure baksteen. Ik heb het hele internet afgezocht en kwam uiteindelijk bij een hack uit waarbij je geen mac nodig hebt. De hack werkt vanuit het principe dat je via de iphone de hack zelf toepast, Jailbreaking, activation, AppSnapp Installer, and anySIM unlocking allemaal via de iphone zelf. Via toets combinaties, kun je in het springboard komen, waarna je een wifi connection toepast naar de Jailbreaking & AppSnapp & unlock. De methode heeft voor mij erg goed gewerkt. Het erg snel en je heb geen computer nodig. Er zijn verschillende hack mogelijkheden om de iphone te unlocken, ga uit van je eigen nieuwgierigheid en je zult versteld hoe ver je komt.
